Duties and Responsibilities
Summary of key functions:
Development of a conceptual document including:
The political, economic and social framework on the use of ICT in regional primary education system.
Extensive review of bibliographical references in order to develop a detailed analytical framework on the use of ICT in primary educational system.
Diagnosis about the feasibility of carrying out a train the ICT trainer program.
Analysis of the benefits and opportunities of ICT (for the educational system, teachers and students) .
Analysis of public and private initiatives developed in the region related to this topic.
Analysis of country cases on the use of ICT in the educational system.
Recommendations and conclusions for the design of the Program.
Development of a proposal to carry out a pilot program:
Provide permanent assessment to the project.
Lead the meetings resulting from the monitoring of the project with active participation.
Monitor the advance of the project “training of trainers in information and communication technologies (ICT)”.
Propose experts who could be part of the referee Committee that will provide external support. Experts should be related with the theme and must have an outstanding trajectory in order to provide credibility to the project’s main findings and recommendations.
Follow the implementation of the program, Provide close support during implementation phases in 2010, make recommendations on best practices based on the pilot, for disseminating of the program in a properly manner.

Education:
Graduate studies in Economics
