Substantive knowledge of ending violence against women, women’s human rights and/or gender equality

Ability to select, analyze and produce information and content from a variety of sources, and using a variety of methods, including skills/experience in conducting interviews
Demonstrated experience working with and creating content for multilingual global websites

Knowledge of content management systems and current web development practices
Knowledge of print and digital design and layout, including image manipulation
Knowledge of copyright, digital publishing and news flow
Familiar with online video publishing and knowledge of online social networking desirable
Experience in web analytics, search engine optimization, and online marketing desirable

Required Skills and Experience
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, International Relations/Public Affairs, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science or other related disciplines
Experience
A minimum of five years (with Master’s) or ten years (with Bachelor’s) of relevant experience
Extensive experience around ending violence against women, women’s human rights and/or gender equality, and demonstrated experience as writer, editor, analyst and/or researcher in these areas
Sound and extensive editorial production and workflow experience writing and editing for the Web
Experience within the United Nations is highly desirable
Language requirements
Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Spanish and/or French is desirable.
